KATSEYE has cancelled two more shows, revealing that member Megan Skiendel suffered a concussion. The six-member girl group - which currently only has four active members due to Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman's ongoing mental health hiatus - announced that their Wildworld Tour concerts scheduled for Nov. 7 in Chicago and Minneapolis are cancelled.
This follows the controversial last-minute cancellation of their Detroit concert on Nov. 3, when KATSEYE explained that Megan was "unwell and unable to perform." Now, the group has officially revealed that Megan suffered a concussion. "The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis as Megan is recovering from a concussion," the management stated.
Megan personally addressed her fans, stating, "I currently have a concussion, and am doing everything I possibly can to recover so I can be on stage for you all again. I wanted to try my best to still make the show happen, but I've been strongly advised by medical professionals that I need to take this time to fully recover, and come back safely."
Meanwhile, group members Daniela, 22, Lara, 21, and Yoonchae, 18, issued a joint statement to their social media stories, writing, "The 4 of us cannot begin to express how sorry we are for postponing our Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis shows." The group insisted that they "tried everything" to make a 3-woman show possible for fans who travelled long distances to attend.
"It wasn't a lack of desire or willingness on our part," they noted in the statement. "Please send your love to Megan and know that she is doing everything she can to get better."
The statement concluded by expressing deep gratitude to their fanbase, promising that the group would make up for the cancellations. "We love all of you so much, and we can't wait to make it up to you," the members added, confirming that rescheduled dates for the tour would be announced in the near future.
