Rory Culkin has revealed some simple advice he received from his famous older brothers, Kieran Culkin and Macaulay Culkin. Despite their decades of experience in the entertainment industry, the Scream 4 star shared that he and his brothers do not frequently discuss their professional lives or personal responsibilities.
"We don't really talk about work and even fatherhood," he shared. "Their advice was like, 'You'll figure it out.
Everyone does, you know? So, just don't worry,'" the Signs actor recalled during a recent media interaction.
The 37-year-old opened up about his relationship with his older siblings during an interview with PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of his new Apple TV (Apple TV) series Nocturne on Tuesday, October 20. All three brothers began acting as children, growing up in the spotlight and building successful careers in Hollywood.
Macaulay became a household name after starring as Kevin McCallister in the Home Alone films, while Kieran also appeared in the beloved franchise as Kevin's cousin, Fuller McCallister. Rory made his film debut in 1994's Richie Rich, playing a younger version of Macaulay's character.
Beyond their shared acting careers, Rory is now experiencing another major milestone: fatherhood. He and his partner, Kate Arizmendi, welcomed their daughter, Havoc Moon, on May 23, shortly after his award milestone.
The Culkin family has long been a subject of public fascination due to their collective impact on cinema. Despite the immense pressure that often accompanies child stardom, the brothers have managed to maintain a grounded perspective on their craft.
Rory noted that while their paths in the industry have been parallel, they prefer to keep their private lives separate from their professional personas. This boundary has allowed them to support each other without the interference of industry expectations.
The actor's recent project, Nocturne, marks another significant step in his evolving career. Critics have praised his ability to transition from child actor to a versatile performer capable of handling complex dramatic roles.
As he navigates the challenges of being a new father, Rory expressed gratitude for the low-pressure environment his brothers have fostered. He emphasized that their lack of unsolicited advice is, in itself, a form of support.
Ultimately, the Culkin brothers represent a rare example of siblings who have navigated the complexities of fame while maintaining a strong, albeit quiet, familial bond that prioritizes personal growth over public spectacle.
