Lenny Kravitz Addresses Untrue Reports He Died In Florida Plane Crash

Renowned American musician Lenny Kravitz has officially addressed and dismissed the baseless rumors circulating regarding his alleged death in a tragic plane crash in Florida. The musician's representative, Carleen Donovan, confirmed to BocaNewsNow that all speculation about his involvement in the recent Learjet 60 disaster is entirely false.

"The reports are untrue and incorrect," Donovan stated firmly to the media outlet. The confusion surrounding the 62-year-old artist began when a Florida-based pilot, Emily Shelton, shared a social media post on Facebook - which has since been deleted - mentioning that she was scheduled to fly Kravitz on a similar route.

The now-deleted post read, "Honored to be flying the one and only Lenny Kravitz from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to North Eleuthera Airport, Bahamas tomorrow. Looking forward to having him on board." This post led many social media users to incorrectly assume that the musician was on the flight that tragically crashed shortly thereafter.

Pilot Emily Shelton also took to social media to clarify her position and deny being the pilot involved in the fatal crash. "I would like to respectfully clarify I was not the pilot involved in this incident," she wrote in a follow-up statement to address the growing misinformation.

Shelton further urged the public to exercise restraint during this difficult time. "I ask that people please stop speculating and spreading misinformation on this tragedy and be respectful of those involved.

My heart goes out to all those lost and affected by this terrible event," she added. The private jet crashed near the Cresthaven and Greenacres areas at approximately 12:50 p.m. ET.

The impact of the crash sparked significant fires in the vicinity, forcing local authorities to order the emergency evacuation of approximately 600 residents living in nearby mobile homes. Emergency response teams arrived at the scene shortly after the crash to contain the blaze and search for survivors.

Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that no one on the ground was injured during the incident. However, the situation remains grim regarding the passengers and crew.

Officials have stated that they have not yet identified all nine victims who were on board the aircraft at the time of the crash. Investigations into the cause of the mechanical failure or circumstances leading to the crash are currently ongoing.

As the investigation continues, the focus remains on identifying the victims and providing support to their grieving families. The public is advised to rely on official updates from aviation authorities rather than unverified social media reports.

Lenny Kravitz, who remains safe and unharmed, has not issued a personal statement beyond his representative's clarification, as he continues to focus on his professional commitments and respects the gravity of the tragedy that occurred in Florida.
