Marilyn Monroe's unusual eating habits revealed in interview

Marilyn Monroe once shared what she ate in a normal day and her food choices were not what people might expect from one of Hollywood's biggest stars. In a 1953 interview with Pageant magazine, she spoke about her meals and explained how she managed to eat while keeping up with her busy work life.

Her day started with a rather unusual breakfast. Before taking a shower, Monroe would warm a cup of milk and mix two raw eggs into it.

The late legend, however, added that this was an easy way to have a filling breakfast when she had to get ready for work quickly. Monroe didn't always have time for lunch, so she often saved her appetite for dinner.

She usually cooked steak, liver or lamb and ate five raw carrots with her meal. She loved carrots so much that she once joked, "I must be part rabbit; I never get bored with raw carrots."

After her drama classes, she would stop at Wil Wright's ice cream shop and enjoy a hot fudge sundae on her way home. Along with her food habits, she slept for 5 to 10 hours and exercised for 10 minutes every morning using small weights.

Her unique lifestyle continues to fascinate fans and researchers around the world decades after her passing.
