Nicolas Cage Left 'Homeless' After $10.5 Million Home Disaster

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has revealed he is going through a difficult time after a massive sinkhole appeared near his Malibu home. The actor was forced to vacate his $10.5 million mansion and is currently staying in hotels while the damage is being addressed.

Cage discussed his living situation during L.A. Comic Con on Saturday.

When asked about his Halloween plans, he explained why he would not be at home. "I'm currently a little bit homeless," he said, noting that structural issues at his property have left him living in hotels.

The trouble began in September when heavy rains hit Southern California. A sinkhole opened near his property and continued to expand.

It initially measured around 8 feet but grew to nearly 30 feet, destroying the driveway and rendering the area unsafe. The situation was severe enough for officials to order the evacuation of 31 nearby homes.

The damaged road also hindered emergency vehicle access, and while a gas leak was reported, emergency crews successfully contained it. Local authorities are currently working on long-term stabilization projects for the affected neighborhood.

Fans and industry colleagues have expressed sympathy for the actor following the unexpected disaster. Cage remains optimistic about the future despite the temporary setbacks and ongoing hotel living.
