Prince Harry has reportedly been left hurt by recent candid admissions regarding past commitment issues published by his former girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, in a blog post celebrating her life's journey. The jewellery designer wrote that "commitment wasn't exactly my strong suit" in her early years and added that marriage and motherhood had never been particularly high on her to-do list.

Davy explained that both seemed to represent permanence, responsibility, roots, and having to take somebody else's plans into account, though meeting her husband, Sam Cutmore-Scott, eventually changed her perspective. An insider told New Idea that the timing of the statement left Harry hurt, noting that "Harry will always have a soft spot for Chelsy, and even Meghan knows it."

Davy was previously known as the woman who refused to marry him, leaving him to wonder for years why she changed her mind, while the recent remarks may have also strained relations between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
