Federal Government Orders Bureaucratic Reshuffle

The federal government has officially issued a series of notifications regarding the transfer and posting of several high-ranking officers within the national bureaucracy. This administrative reshuffle is part of a broader effort to streamline operations across various ministries and divisions, ensuring that key positions are filled by officers currently awaiting new assignments.

According to the official notification released by the Establishment Division, Deputy Secretary Manzoor Ali Shah has been transferred from the Commerce Division to the Economic Affairs Division. This move is seen as a strategic placement to bolster the economic planning team as the government navigates ongoing fiscal challenges.

In a related development, Deputy Secretary Saroosh Fatima has been moved from the Economic Affairs Division to the Industries and Production Division. Her transition is expected to provide continuity in policy implementation within the industrial sector, which remains a priority for the current administration.

Furthermore, Section Officer Bakhtawar Yousafzai has been transferred from the Communications Division to the Economic Affairs Division. The shifting of personnel between these critical departments is aimed at optimizing the administrative workflow and enhancing inter-departmental coordination.

The government has also addressed the status of officers who were previously awaiting posting. Sarah Ali Hashmi, a BS-17 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), has been appointed as a Section Officer in the Establishment Division.

Her appointment is expected to strengthen the administrative oversight capabilities of the division. Similarly, Fakhira Akram, who was also awaiting a new assignment, has been appointed as a Section Officer in the Communications Division.

This appointment fills a long-standing vacancy and is intended to expedite pending projects within the communications sector. These administrative changes are effective immediately, and the concerned officers have been directed to assume charge of their new responsibilities without delay.

The Establishment Division has requested that all relevant departments facilitate the transition process to ensure no disruption in public service delivery. Analysts suggest that such reshuffles are a routine part of the civil service structure, designed to prevent stagnation and provide officers with diverse experience across different government sectors.

The government maintains that these postings are based on merit and the specific requirements of each division. Further notifications regarding additional transfers are expected in the coming weeks as the government continues to evaluate the performance of various departments.

The Establishment Division remains the primary authority overseeing these transitions, ensuring compliance with civil service rules and regulations. As the new appointees take charge, the focus remains on improving the efficiency of the federal machinery.

The government has emphasized that these changes are intended to foster a more responsive and accountable bureaucratic environment for the citizens of Pakistan.
