Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is facing his first ejection of the 2026-27 NBA season after a heated altercation on Monday night. This marks the 31st ejection of Green's career after he received two technical fouls in the same sequence against the Phoenix Suns on Monday, November 2, 2026.

With 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter, while defending Suns center Khaman Maluach, Green was knocked down under the basket. Green jumped to his feet immediately, grabbed Maluach, and threw him to the floor.

Officials assessed this as a "throwdown," leading to his first technical foul. Phoenix forward Dillon Brooks then jumped into the chaotic scuffle, rushing from the top of the key to confront Green over the hard foul.

The longtime rivals grabbed each other's jerseys and locked into a brief standoff before being separated. After a video review, officials issued a double technical foul to both Green and Brooks, resulting in an automatic ejection for Green.

This technical foul was the 23rd of Green's 15-year NBA regular-season career. He has also been ejected eight times in the playoffs.

Green has now accumulated three technical fouls in just six appearances this season. The incident has sparked widespread debate among basketball analysts regarding his disciplinary record.

The Warriors organization has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the disciplinary action taken against their veteran player. Fans and spectators at the arena were visibly shocked as the altercation escalated quickly during the high-stakes matchup.

The league office is expected to review the footage further to determine if additional fines or suspensions are warranted for the players involved. As the season progresses, Green's ability to maintain composure remains a significant talking point for the Golden State coaching staff.
