Jimmy Kimmel cancelled? Internal reports suggest yes, ABC says no

Conflicting reports have thrown the future of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" into uncertainty as insiders claim the show is ending after 24 seasons, while ABC insists otherwise. According to an exclusive report by Page Six, citing a source familiar with the situation, the upcoming 24th season of the late-night show will be its last.

"His contract is not getting extended," the source explained, noting that Kimmel's current deal runs through May 2027. The major reason for the cancellation is internal restructuring at Disney under new boss Josh D'Amaro, who has reportedly been offering early retirement packages to veteran executives as part of company-wide cost-cutting measures.

Insiders suggest the decision has no association with Kimmel's feud with President Donald Trump related to controversial jokes about Melania Trump and Charlie Kirk that previously led to FCC threats and a temporary suspension. However, these reports are denied by ABC Entertainment, which stated: "This information is inaccurate; any reports about the future of this show at this point are purely speculative."

Earlier, Kimmel himself discussed his retirement, admitting that he was "very intent on retiring" around the time of the Hollywood strikes. His wife and executive producer, Molly McNearney, recently said she would support him if he chose to step away.
