The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the complete squads and the official schedule for the upcoming PCB Women's Super-3 T20 Tournament, which is scheduled to be played in the major cricket hub of Faisalabad. This high-profile tournament will run from October 28 to November 5 at the historic Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, and it has been strategically designed to give the absolute best performers of the preceding National Women's T20 Tournament more exposure to competitive, high-intensity tournament cricket.
A total of 39 elite female cricketers will take part in the highly anticipated Super-3 event, with each squad precisely comprising 13 players to ensure balanced competition. Three competitive teams - namely Champions, Incredibles, and Warriors - will feature in the tournament and will play against each other on a double round-robin basis, with the top two leading sides ultimately qualifying for the grand final scheduled for November 5.
Talented all-rounder Tuba Hassan will lead the Champions as captain, aggressive opening batter Gull Feroza will captain the Incredibles, while experienced wicket-keeper batter Muneeba Ali will be in charge of the Warriors. The Super-3 Tournament immediately follows the recently concluded 21-match National Women's T20 Tournament that ran from October 10 to 26 at the same venue, where Strikers and Stars successfully qualified for the final.
The management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board has emphasized that such structured domestic tournaments are vital for the continuous growth and development of women's cricket in the country. By pitting the top performers against one another in a rigorous multi-team format, the board aims to bridge the gap between domestic cricket and international standards, preparing players for upcoming global assignments and bilateral series.
The Super-3 event will comprise a total of seven gripping matches, including the preliminary round fixtures and the final clash. All matches are scheduled to start daily at 10:00 AM PKT, allowing local cricket enthusiasts to enjoy morning action.
Furthermore, to maximize viewership and bring women's cricket to a broader audience across the nation, all matches will be live-streamed on popular digital platforms Tapmad and Tamasha. Cricket fans and analysts have widely welcomed this announcement, noting that extended playing opportunities and digital broadcasting are crucial steps forward.
The Faisalabad administration and stadium management have also finalized all necessary arrangements to host the visiting players, officials, and media personnel during the week-long sporting gala. As the teams assemble in Faisalabad over the weekend, training sessions are expected to begin immediately ahead of the opening fixture on October 28.
The board remains optimistic that the tournament will deliver thrilling contests, showcase exceptional athletic talent, and inspire a new generation of young girls to take up cricket professionally across Pakistan.
