The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced a massive recruitment drive for numerous vacancies ranging from Basic Pay Scale (BS) 16 to BS-20 across various federal ministries, divisions, and government departments. These newly announced openings span a diverse range of sectors, including medical, administrative, engineering, financial, scientific, and educational fields to fulfill critical human resource requirements in federal institutions.

According to the official Consolidated Advertisement 04/2026 released by the commission, the largest single intake includes 160 posts of Assistant Audit Officer (BS-17) under the Auditor General of Pakistan. Other notable openings in the administrative and educational sectors include 25 Demonstrator (BS-17) positions at the Federal Medical College and 12 Research, Planning, and Survey Officer (BS-17) posts within the Ministry of Planning.

In the specialized medical sector, the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, has advertised six Professor (BS-20) positions in critical specialties such as Cardiac Surgery, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, and Neonatology. Furthermore, the premier health institution has also announced two Associate Professor (BS-19) roles to strengthen its academic and clinical faculty departments for better patient care.

The Ministry of Defence has actively participated in this recruitment cycle by announcing 10 Nurse (BS-16) posts at the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) and four Civilian Medical Practitioner (BS-17) positions at General Headquarters (GHQ). In addition to health and audit sectors, the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Planning have advertised various technical, management, and administrative roles to boost operational efficiency.

Additional recruitment drives are also currently underway for specialized departments located in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Geological Survey of Pakistan, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
