Kim Kardashian says she would return to Dancing with the Stars if her whole family joined her. The 45-year-old star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, where Kimmel asked about her stint on the ABC show.
She competed in season seven in 2008 with Mark Ballas and finished 11th, being eliminated after three weeks. "I would honestly cry in my trailer, like, every single night, praying to get kicked off," she said.
She explained that she was so shy she couldn't get into it, adding that she has "never danced again" and feels "traumatised." However, she recently watched her old performance after her sister Kylie put it on the big screen at a family poker night, as many present didn't know she had participated.
Kardashian said she remembered some moves and wished she had the confidence then that she has now. That gave her an idea: "Could you imagine if we did a Kardashian-Jenner season, all of us competing against each other?" Her sisters loved the idea, though she doubted the show would agree.
She noted that her brother Rob was "so good," finishing second in season 13 in 2011. "I would just want us all back," she said.
"I don't know if they bring people back, but I'd do it." Kimmel told her they would "definitely bring you back." Dancing with the Stars has had only one All-Stars season, in 2012. The reality television personality opened up about her past struggles with the dance competition format, admitting the intense pressure and public scrutiny proved overwhelming at the time.
Despite her initial reluctance, the lighthearted family screening reignited a sense of nostalgia. Television producers are constantly looking for high-profile angles to boost ratings, and a specialized family edition featuring the well-known media dynasty could generate massive viewership.
Analysts suggest that reality television crossovers of this magnitude often attract diverse demographics. During the interview, Kardashian discussed various aspects of her current career and upcoming media projects, maintaining an engaging and humorous dialogue with the host.
Fans flooded social media platforms with mixed reactions, with many expressing enthusiasm for a potential family showdown on the dance floor. Although network executives have not officially commented on the proposition, celebrity gossip columns have been buzzing with speculation.
The prospect of multiple family members enduring the rigorous training schedule promises substantial entertainment value for dedicated followers of the franchise. As discussions continue across various entertainment networks, the television industry remains attentive to potential casting announcements for future seasons.
Whether the network will entertain the ambitious pitch from the famous siblings remains to be seen.
