The Ministry of Law and Justice on Thursday issued a notification regarding the appointment of former Additional Attorney General Rana Asadullah Khan as Chairman of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST). The notification stated that Rana Asadullah Khan, ASC, has been appointed Chairman of the Federal Service Tribunal for a non-extendable term of three years with effect from the date he assumes charge of the post.

He will be entitled to such pay, allowances, and other perks and privileges as prescribed from time to time. Meanwhile, following his appointment, Rana Asadullah Khan said the Federal Service Tribunal is an important legal and administrative forum for providing justice in service-related matters concerning government employees.

He added that he would give priority to the principles of rule of law, merit, and justice while performing his duties.
